Description
St Benedict's Lodge is a single-storey former lodge, nearly square in shape, built from tooled coursed stone that has been painted white. It features a pyramidal roof covered with graded slates, which has projecting eaves and a central paired stone chimney stack. The roof extends on thin iron posts, creating a covered verandah around the front and left side of the building. All openings are located beneath the eaves and are currently boarded up. The front of the lodge has a central doorway flanked by windows. The left side wall includes two windows and a doorway leading to a projecting rear wing that has a hipped roof. This rear wing contains one side window and two windows facing the back. At the rear of the main house, there is a projecting lean-to with a single window on the rear side. The right side wall of the lodge also features two windows.
