Description
The Church of St David, constructed from snecked local Pennant sandstone and topped with a slate roof, features a nave with three bays and a chancel that has lean-to side chambers, which are slightly shorter, along with a gabled north porch. It is designed in the Early English lancet style. The west front, which faces Talbot Street, showcases three tall lancets set between buttresses, along with an oculus in the gable that rises into a tall, elegant buttressed bellcote. The north porch includes a moulded outer arch supported by nook shafts. Each bay of the nave contains pairs of lancets, with the eastern bay having them spaced apart. The eastern chancel wall displays three stepped lancets, topped by an oculus, while a trefoil light is positioned in the eastern nave wall above the chancel roof. Inside, there is an open trussed rafter roof and a moulded chancel arch, with a tub font located at the west end, opposite the north door.
