Description
This is an open stone-lined culvert featuring flat stone coping. Water flows into the northern end through a round arch made of narrow voussoirs. This arch forms part of the northern boundary wall of the castle gardens, with the top of the wall rising in a semi-circular profile over the arch. At the southern end of the culvert, the water continues underground through a high flat-headed opening. Next to this opening on the eastern side, there are a few stone steps leading down from the south, and a pump is situated within a small square enclosure to the east.
