Description

The Stones Museum is a two-storey building featuring a three-window range constructed from rubble stone, with quoins, and topped with a red tile roof that has a stone stack at the west end. At the west end, there is a lean-to porch that includes late 20th-century glazed panels and a door. The south face of the building has round-headed windows with voussoir heads and stone sills. These are fitted with iron multi-pane windows that have radial glazing beneath arches. On the east end, there is a three-light metal-framed window with quarries, which is topped with a square hoodmould and has a stone sill. The north side has two similar windows and two large rooflights.

Inside the porch, there are two doors; the one on the right is original and features a large stone lintel. The interior consists of a single room that has been converted into a museum and includes a steel-framed gallery.
