Description
Ynysafan Tramroad Bridge is a bridge constructed from coursed rubble sandstone, featuring three elliptical arches made of dressed face voussoirs with rubble vaults that spring from two narrow piers and curving abutments. The bridge has dressed stone triangular cutwaters that step in towards the top on both sides of the piers. The parapets, which are made of rougher stonework and may have been added later, are partly missing. This bridge is unusually wide, suggesting it may have originally supported a double line of track. A modern steel footbridge has been built across the top, spanning the entire structure along the north side.
