Description
This is a canal bridge over the Neath Canal at Ynysarwed, constructed from rubble stone. It features a single segmental arch made with tooled cut stone voussoirs. The bridge has a slight hump and is flanked by rubble stone parapets; some sections have thin stone copings on the northeast and northwest quadrants, while the remainder is finished with rounded cement. The abutments curve outward slightly on each side, with the northwest quadrant terminating in a square pier, and the parapets on the southwest quadrant descending to the level of the towpath.
