Description

Milestone, stone, triangular section with rectangular base and curved top. Incised painted lettering, on the right side reading ‘IIII Miles to Neath' and on the left side 'VIII Miles to Pont vn.' for Pontneddfechan. Struck-through bench-mark on base and further, damaged, inscription reading ‘Neath [-]ower’. Bench-mark on apex indicates flattened incised square, presumably the correct height above sea level.
