Description

Old Siloh Chapel, a former Sunday School, features a classical façade that is cement rendered and consists of four window bays beneath a pediment. The building is constructed from brick and rubble, topped with a slate roof, and had slate-hung sides in the past. The pediment displays a "Siloh" tablet with an inscribed open book, and the corners are accentuated with banded quoins. The round-headed openings are framed with architraves, and the tall central pair includes keyblocks that connect to the main cornice. The outer bays have doorways with pedimented doorcases and six-panel doors, accompanied by Gothic area railings. To the right, the gable end of the hall features octagonal chimney stacks. The building was boarded up at the time of inspection in Autumn 1985.
