Argyle Presbyterian Church of Wales

Argyle Presbyterian Church of Wales is a fine two-storey and basement classical temple, featuring a rendered facade over brickwork. It showcases a Composite Order to the tetrastyle portico in antis. The top cornice of the pediment is cut back and cemented, while the main modillion and dentil cornice remain intact. There are oculi in the outer bays, and the church has a modern pantile roof. The architraved sash windows include marginal glazing bars and are set in a recessed centre, with continuous band courses and arched keyblocked doorways, which are adorned with traceried fanlights and double three-panel doors.

Additional doorways are located at the return angles, and wide steps lead up to the entrance, flanked by area railings and pedimented piers. The five-bay rendered flank elevation features a single composite pilaster, with the remaining columns in the Doric style. Tall arched lights are positioned above a rusticated basement that houses the hall below. At the south end, there is a polygonal apse over a passageway.
