Description
The barn located to the rear of Llandyfan is constructed from rubble stone with dressed quoins and features a hipped slate roof. It has two tall cart openings with stone voussoirs and cambered heads, which originally had tall boarded double doors, with part of the right door still surviving. There are long slit vents in the center and on each side, although the right vent is obscured by the addition of the south range. The rear wall closely resembles the front.
Inside, the barn has twin stone flagged threshing floors. The roof is a five-bay structure made of oak, featuring pegged tie-beam and collar trusses, one of which is marked with the painted date of 1802. The roof also includes stepped double purlins.
