Description

The barn at Cwmcoynant is a Grade II listed structure, built of stone and featuring slit vents. The original stone tiles have been replaced with corrugated iron. It has a stout east doorframe with a lintel inscribed 'H 1692 P' along with a flourish. The roof consists of four bays, supported by wainy tiebeams and V-struts, with three heights of purlins. There are lean-to attachments on the north side, which is a stone and slate shed dating from the 18th or 19th century, and on the east side, a cattleshed made of stone and corrugated iron from the 18th century.
