Description
Ivy Towers is a fine 2-storey building with an attic, featuring a 5-window stucco front. It has a steep slate roof, brick end chimney stacks, boxed eaves, and a deep dentilled cornice. The central pedimented cross gable has a similar cornice and a semicircular 5-pane attic window. The ground and first floors have 12-pane sash windows with flush frames, stepped voussoir lintels, keystones, dripstones, and lugged architraves. The central pedimented doorcase includes bracketed cornices and fluted Ionic pilasters, with a later half-glazed door.
The right end wall is made of rubble and has an advanced chimney breast, along with two sash windows with glazing bars in the attic. The left end wall and rear are roughcast.
At the time of inspection in October 1985, the building was disused and formerly contained contemporary interiors.
