Description
The Dairy Shop is a group of simple classical buildings dating from the 19th century, featuring two storeys and two windows. The fronts are made of stucco and roughcast, with plinths and a cill band. They have slate roofs, projecting eaves, and cement render chimney stacks. The first-floor windows are small-pane and offset to Nos 50 and 51. No 49 has a multipaned shop front flanked by deep pilasters, while No 50 has two ground-floor sash windows with glazing bars on the upper sash. No 51 features a later shop front with semicircular headed lights. The buildings have arched entrances of two orders, with a modern door at No 49 and panelled doors at Nos 50 and 51, both with traceried fanlights. There is also a half-glazed shop door on the splayed corner.
