Description

The Stop Lock on the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal features parallel abutments made of rubble sandstone with splayed ends. Near the center, there are two vertical rebates, which have been replaced in concrete, designed for stop planks. To the east, the canal widens to create a basin.
