Description

59 The Watton is part of a row of four houses, dating from the 19th century, that are three stories tall and have a cellar. Each house features a single-window bay. The exterior is finished in painted roughcast, topped with a slate roof and chimney stacks at both ends. The top floor has square windows at the eaves, while the other floors have taller windows.

Nos. 58 and 59 are arranged as an asymmetrical pair, each with one window front and an inner doorway. No. 58 has modern top-hung casement windows and a flat-arched doorcase with pilasters and a moulded cornice on consoles, leading to a modern door. No. 59 features a modern window on the second floor and 4-pane sash windows on both the first and ground floors. Two steps lead up to a round-headed doorway, which has a blocked semi-circular tympanum and a modern door.
