Description
19-25 Prince Alfred Road is a row of four houses built in the early 19th century. They are constructed of brick with stone lintels and feature a slate roof. Each house has three storeys and a basement, with two bays. The top cornice adds to their architectural detail. The windows have wedge lintels and are mostly sash style with glazing bars.
No 19 has had its ground floor window and the one above it replaced with 20th-century casements of a different shape, and the first-floor window is blocked. No 21 features a square-headed entrance with an architrave, and the windows above it are blind. No 23 has a round-headed entrance with an architrave, impost blocks, and a complete fan. No 25 has plate-glass windows and an entrance similar to that of No 23.
