Description

53 The Watton is part of a row of six two-storey cottages built in the 19th century. Each cottage has one window bay and a doorway. The cottages have slate roofs and large brick chimney stacks situated between Nos. 53 and 54, as well as between Nos. 55 and 56. The facades are roughcast with rendered sill bands, plinths, and window dressings. The upper window openings are positioned at eaves level, while the ground floor window and door openings feature cambered heads with vermiculated keystones. The glazing and doors have been modernized.
