Description
This building, located at 7 High Street, is a shop with living accommodation above. It features a cement-rendered front with three windows, showcasing details from the mid to late 19th century. The roof is pyramidal and covered with slate, and there is a modillion eaves cornice. The window openings have moulded architraves, with 12-pane sash windows on the first and second floors.
On the ground floor, to the right, there is a wider sash window with marginal glazing bars set within an architrave. To the left, there is a late 19th century or early 20th century shopfront, which includes a doorway to the right, end pilasters, and a fascia board with a cornice above. The stallriser has been tiled in the later 20th century.
Inside, the ceiling features old timber construction, and there is an old stair in the upper parts. The room to the right of the shop has an early 19th century cornice and a panelled door.
