Description
The barn at Ffawydd is an 18th-century structure built from rubble sandstone, featuring larger quoins and a graded stone tile roof. The front of the barn faces the yard and includes a wagon bay doorway that is offset to the left, complete with a canopy and a boarded door. To the left of this doorway, there is a tall ventilation slit. The left gable end of the barn has three tiers of ventilation slits, while the right gable end, which is built into the bank, has two ventilation slits and a boarded loft opening beneath a drip stone. At the rear, there are double boarded doors leading to the wagon bay, along with two ventilation slits to the left.
Inside, the barn features a four-bay roof supported by tie beams with raking struts. The wagon bay has a flagged floor.
