Description

The road bridge at The Bont is a 19th-century single-carriageway structure built of coursed rubble with hammer-dressed quoins. It features a segmental arch made of hammer-dressed voussoirs and a prominent keystone. Above the arch, there is a string course and a low parapet. The parapet and abutments are splayed outwards at the ends, ending in square piers on the upstream side, which have flat coping stones. The deck of the bridge is slightly ramped towards the center.
