Description
The Lodge at Ffrwdgrech is a Grade II listed building constructed from red rubble stone, featuring a slate eaves roof, fretted bargeboards, verge boards, terracotta ridge tiles, and a central brick stack. This one and a half storey structure is designed in the Tudor style and includes two square-headed cross-windows on each floor, with the upper panes displaying Tudor heads, and a central door. The windows are detailed with rock-faced stone sills, red stone lintels, and rock-faced grey stone hoodmoulds. The upper windows are set beneath gables that are adorned with picturesque fretted bargeboards. The doorway is segmental-pointed, constructed with stone voussoirs, and features a boarded door with a glass panel.
On the left end wall facing the drive, there is a similar first floor window above an ornamental canted timber bay that has a hipped roof and 1-3-1-light glazing, with the top lights also featuring Tudor heads, a moulded cornice, and fretted verges. There is a lean-to on the right end wall that matches the bargeboard details, as well as an added lean-to at the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
