Description
The Former Watergate Mill is a Grade II listed building consisting of two two-storey blocks that are aligned with the river. The taller rear block is constructed of stone and features a stone tile roof, with a slate-hung gable end that is partly concealed by a lower extension made of painted rubble, which dates from the early to mid 19th century. This extension has a hipped slate roof and modern French doors on the first floor leading to an iron-railed balcony.
The ground floor of the extension includes a four-pane sash window without glazing bars. The northwest elevation has three windows, with three small camber-headed windows on the first floor and similar camber-headed windows flanking a camber-headed doorway on the ground floor. The elevation facing the River Honddu features a modern casement window in the front block, while the rear block has three first floor windows and two ground floor windows, all fitted with modern casement glazing.
