Description
No. 8 Watergate is a pair of rendered houses with a plinth, featuring three windows in total. The elevation facing Watergate is three storeys high and showcases 19th-century details. It has a slate roof and brick chimney stacks. On the second floor, there are six-pane windows with heads at eaves level.
No. 8 has one window bay and is adorned with pilaster strips at the ends and a band between the first and ground floors. The window openings have moulded architraves, including a 12-pane hornless sash window on the first floor and a modern small-pane window to the right on the ground floor. To the left, there is a doorway flanked by stone panelled pilasters, with a frieze and cornice supported by brackets. At the northwest end, there is a structure with a lean-to slate roof and a half-glazed modern door facing Watergate.
