Description
The bridge at Dan-y-bont Mill is a Grade II listed structure made of coursed sandstone. It features a single arch with a segmental design, spanning approximately 20 feet (6 metres). The arch is constructed with stone voussoirs. On the eastern side, there is a drip mould, and the arch is slightly recessed behind the line of stone cheeks, with a pilaster strip to the left. The western arch is also recessed but lacks a drip mould, instead having a stringcourse above and a pilaster to the left. The bridge has low parapets that have been extensively patched, retaining some stone slab copings on the northwest and southeast sides. The parapet curves to the northwest to connect with the boundary wall of the former mill, while the northeast parapet curves to follow the road line, serving as a retaining wall.
