Description

This building, located at 2 Castle Street, is a house that was previously an inn. It has three bays and two storeys, with a roughcast exterior and a slate roof featuring eaves. There is one rendered stack at the right end of the building. The windows are now uPVC replacements for the original 12-pane sash windows, and they are positioned to the right to accommodate a large kitchen fireplace, which has a very small window on the ground floor to the left. The wide center doorway has a 20th-century panelled door, which was originally a four-panel door.

Inside, the building used to have a wide flagged passage that ran through to the stables located at the back.
