Description
Ty'r Garw is a house that was formerly an inn, built with red brick and a rubble stone base, featuring a slate roof with flat eaves and a red brick ridge stack at the left end. The building has a basement and two storeys, arranged in three bays with raised outer piers. Each outer bay on both floors has 12-pane horned sash windows with gauged brick flat heads and painted stone sills. The centre bay has a cambered-headed blank window with no sill situated above a cambered-headed doorway. The doorway features a renewed four-panel door with an overlight and is accessed by three stone steps. There are cellar lights in the plinth on each side of the building. The north end wall has cambered-headed windows that are set flush to the wall face, with stone voussoirs and no sills. The attic has a triple small-paned casement, while each floor below has two small-paned triple windows with top-lights. The right ground floor window is original and includes an iron opening light, while the other windows are late 20th-century replacements. There is a door on the extreme right side. The rear of the building has one three-light casement with top lights on the right side for each floor. A modern addition is located on the left. The interior has not been inspected.
