Description
This is a small cast iron drinking fountain located in Carmarthen Park. The fountain stands approximately 5 inches (about 17 centimeters) high and is mounted on a square concrete plinth. It features a quatrefoil short shaft set in concrete, which leads to a short round shaft that has four small dishes positioned between brackets. Above this is a neck-ring under an octagonal section adorned with rosettes and spigots. The fountain is topped with an unusual finial that consists of four thick scrolled branches, a fluted ball, and a smaller ball on the shaft above.
