Description

The Circular Pigsty at Bryngelli is a small structure that features a unique architectural design. It is partly built into a boundary wall and constructed from rubble stone laid in corbelled courses, which curve to create a conical chamber. At the top, it is crowned by a domed capping stone. Originally, there was an entry through a narrow upright opening in the boundary wall, but this has since been blocked. The entrance to the pigsty itself is through a small flat-headed opening, which is also now blocked. At the time of inspection, the pigsty was partly overgrown with ivy but was otherwise in good condition.
