Description
Frankville is an end-terrace house that forms a mirrored pair with No. 16. Each house features 2 bays and 2 storeys, topped with a slate gabled roof and end chimneys, although No. 14 is missing its chimneys. The eaves are bracketed, and the facade is painted stucco with a plinth and long and short quoins. The first floor has 4-pane horned sash windows, while the ground floor includes a 2-4-2-pane canted bay with a dentil cornice on the left and a door on the right within a paired doorcase. The entrance features a four-panelled door, consisting of 2 raised and fielded panels and 2 flush panels, along with a rectangular overlight, set in a shallow panelled recess framed by panelled pilasters and a flat cornice on consoles.
The left-hand return is windowless and roughcast, with deep eaves. Inside, the inner door is panelled and half-glazed, also featuring a rectangular overlight. The fireplaces and doors have been replaced. The front hall showcases tongued and grooved dado panelling. The handrail on the stairs has been replaced, but the stairs still retain their turned newel and balusters.
