Description

Y Dderwyn is a 1½-storey cottage constructed of rubble stone, which is partly rendered, and features a thatch roof covered with corrugated iron sheets. The cottage has brick end stacks, and the left end is accented with brick quoins. The openings are offset to the right side. A central boarded door is flanked by a margin-lit late 19th-century sash window on the left and a small-pane sash window on the right, although the lower sash of the right window is missing. All windows are set under wooden lintels.

In the left gable, there are two 4-pane sash windows that were inserted in the late 19th century, located lower on the left and in the attic, both with brick dressings. The right gable end features a 6 over 3-pane sash window that has been inserted into what was previously an attic doorway. There is also a blocked opening on the lower right side.

Inside, the cottage has a central passage with a staircase at the rear, leading to two rooms. The larger room on the left includes a 19th-century surround for the fireplace.
