Description
This is a 5-bay barn made of rubble stone, with the northern gable end differing in character from the side walls, indicating that the side walls were likely originally timber-framed. The roof is covered with corrugated iron, which is collapsing at the northern end and has completely fallen at the southern end. The barn features a threshing bay at the northern end and animal accommodation at the southern end, accessed through a doorway in the southern gable end. The threshing bay has opposing doors and a window on the left side facing the yard, which has brick dressings. To the right of the threshing bay, there is a former doorway that has been converted into a window. The southern gable end also includes a doorway.
Inside, the barn contains three pairs of roughly hewn, scarfed crucks with heavily pegged joints. The blades have collars and cross at the apex. The purlins have been renewed, and the southern end of the barn is box-framed rather than constructed with crucks.
