Description
The stables at Gilfach y Berthog are constructed from limewashed rubble and topped with a slate roof. The openings feature wooden lintels. To the right of the center, there is a doorway with a boarded window on the right and a hopper window on the left. At the uphill end, there are stone gate piers with ball finials, which once marked the entrance to a courtyard from a former lane that ran west at the foot of the hill. Additionally, there is a later, lower rubble-stone range attached to the lower gable end. The stables are lofted and still contain stalls.
