Description

The dovecote at Edwinsford dates from the early to mid-18th century. It is constructed from rubble and has a square plan. The roof is pyramidal and covered with stone tiles, and there is a square timber cupola on top featuring round-arched dove-holes, which also has a stone tiled roof. The dovecote has wide soffits and a continuous stone perch-ledge below the wall-plate. There is a boarded door on the east side, which is supported by a timber lintel.
