Description

The bridge over the River Gothi at Edwinsford was built in 1783 by David Edwards. A datestone on the inside of the eastern parapet wall reads: "This Bridge is the property of the family of Edwinsford. Rebuilt by Robert Banks Hodgkinson Esq. 1783." It is a wide single-span bridge made of stone laid in fine diminishing courses, featuring a broad elliptical arch with dressed stone voussoirs. The low parapet walls rise to a central point.
