Description

The dovecote at Thursford Old Hall dates from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of red brick with cement dressings and features a pantiled roof. The building is designed in header bond and consists of three storeys topped with a conical roof that is circular in shape. The ground floor has a door, the first floor has an opening, and the second floor features a l'oeil de boeuf window. There is a brick dentil eaves cornice, although the circular termination of the roof is missing. Inside, brick nesting boxes are still present.
