Description
Station Farmhouse is a house dating to the late 17th century. It is constructed of red brick with a red pantiled roof. The building appears to have been built in two phases, as evidenced by the brickwork at the east end of the ground floor and on the first floor, along with a central straight joint. The ground floor has two windows, while the first floor originally had three, though one opening is now blocked. The windows are wooden casement cross-windows. A 20th-century door replaces the original entrance and is positioned off-centre. All window and door openings are topped with flat rubbed brick arches, except for a ground floor window to the west, which has a cambered rubbed brick arch. The house has a ground floor plinth, a first floor platband, and an eaves cornice. The east gable features crow-stepped battlements with ogee section coping bricks. The first floor has a platband and four blocked fire windows. A brick coped parapet is present at the west end. The steeply pitched roof has two end stacks. A brick and pantiled lean-to has been added to the west side of the building.
