Description
Dunroamin is a 17th-century house located on Ball's Lane in Thursford Green. The building is constructed of whitewashed flint with brick dressings and features a red pantiled roof. Originally two separate cottages, it is now used as a single residence, with a service wing at the rear creating an 'L' shape.
The garden front includes one arched-headed casement window on the ground floor and two casement windows on the first floor, one of which is arched-headed and has glazing bars. There is a 20th-century door, a blocked 19th-century doorway, and to the west, two blocked rectangular window openings from the 17th century, along with quoins and a west gable that has a stack and blocked fire windows. The rear wall is pinkwashed brick and features a first-floor platband.
Attached to the east is an 18th-century cottage that has one ground floor three-light arched-headed casement window, two first-floor casements, and an end stack. Inside, there are stop-chamfered beams, and the roof is supported by butt purlins with wind braces and crude Queen post struts.
