Description
Grange Farmhouse is a house that features a double pile design, built around 1840, with parts dating back to the late 16th or early 17th century that were refaced in the 19th century. The garden front, constructed around 1840, is two storeys high and consists of three bays. It is made of red brick and topped with black smut pantiles. There are two ground floor and three first floor sash windows with glazing bars, all set beneath flat rubbed brick arches. The central porch is designed in a simplified unfluted Doric style, featuring two columns and antae, along with an entablature and flat canopy. The door has raised and fielded reveals, with three panels above and six panels below. The rear of the house is constructed from flint with brick dressings. Inside, there is a ground floor room that includes a spine beam with a roll-moulded bressumer beam, which does not have stops.
