Description

This is a former canal overbridge, built in coursed stone and featuring a single span and single carriageway. The bridge has a three-centred arch made of freestone voussoirs. Above the arch, there is a raised impost band. The parapet has plain copings and curves sharply outward to square terminal piers. Beneath the bridge, in the channel, is a raised course known as a 'rubbing strake', which indicates the original water level in the canal.
