Description
The Old House and attached farm building at Llethr Llestri is a former 1½-storey residence located at the downhill end, constructed of limewashed rubble stone with a slate roof. At the uphill end, the lofted farm building is made of coursed stone and features a corrugated asbestos-cement roof, separated from the house by a vertical joint.
The former house faces a narrow yard and includes two lintelled doorways and a central metal-framed window. The rear of the house has a blocked doorway on the left, a doorway on the right, and a central lean-to with a corrugated iron roof. The farm building also has two lintelled doorways leading to the yard, a vent strip on the right, two small loft openings, and putlogs. The gable end features pigeon holes with corresponding ledges on the left side above a doorway. Set back on the right side are external steps, which were obscured by vegetation during inspection, leading to a lintelled doorway for the pigeon loft and a similar doorway for a granary. The rear elevation includes a central doorway with a replaced door, flanked by 20th-century windows.
Both buildings contain cow stalls and milking machinery. The former house retains blocked back-to-back fireplaces, with the larger room downhill, likely the hall, featuring a fireplace with a timber lintel. The roof of the house has three collar-beam trusses.
