Description
The Old Farmhouse at Llwyncynog is a two-storey building constructed of rubble stone with a slate roof, though it is missing its end-wall chimneys. The house features three bays and has small-paned windows from the early 19th century. The windows on the ground floor are 16-pane with cambered heads and stone voussoirs, while the upper windows are square 12-pane, with their heads located under the eaves. The facade is largely obscured by ivy. The north end wall facing the road includes a loft door.
Attached to the farmhouse is a cowshed range located downhill to the left, which has an asbestos roof. This range features four doors with tooled stone voussoirs and one square loft light situated under the eaves above the third door.
The interior of the farmhouse has not been inspected and the building is currently derelict. In 1965, it was noted to have a panelled partition in the hall dated 1625, as well as a rear stair tower that was incorporated into a later kitchen wing.
