Description

This is a cartshed and barn range, likely dating to the 18th century, situated opposite the old farmhouse at Llwyncynog. The cartshed is constructed of whitewashed rubble stone with an asbestos sheet roof. It features three elliptical-arched cart entrances, each defined by stone voussoirs over round piers. The piers have raised pilasters on their front faces, a distinctive local architectural detail. A loft door is located on the north end of the cartshed. The rear wall is of painted rubble stone. To the right of the cartshed is a lower barn range, built of rubble stone with the upper half of the walls boarded. It has a corrugated iron roof and a lean-to addition on the right end, with a barn door positioned to the left of its centre. The building was not inspected internally.
