Description
The stable range at Avellenau House is a long, single-storey building with a loft, dating from around 1840. It is situated on higher ground and features a gable end that includes an arched recess facing the service road. The walls are roughcast and rendered over rubble, topped with a pitched slate roof that has rendered stacks and a cut-down clock turret. The north front showcases a cross-gable above an advanced pedimented centerpiece, which contains a sunk oculus and a large arched recess below. There are blind arched recesses on the flanks, set on a plinth. The rear elevation has a variety of camber-headed openings with boarded doors. As of September 1987, the building is in disused condition.
