Description
The Llandissilio War Memorial is a war memorial featuring a grey granite Celtic cross adorned with interlace decoration. The granite has been polished to a dark grey, particularly on five spheres in the cross head and raised borders. The memorial stands on a large, curved-sided tapering pedestal that displays memorial inscriptions. This pedestal is polished, except for the rebated borders, and it rests on a square plinth with polished sloping sides. The inscriptions on the front of the memorial include 'COGONIANT YN Y CORUCHAF, ODUW', 'TO THE HONOURED MEMORY OF THE MEN OF THE PARISH WHO FELL IN THE GREAT WARS', '1914-1918', '1939-1945', and 'DROS DUW, DROS FRENIN, DROS WLAD'. Additionally, five names are inscribed on the right side and five names on the left side.
