Description
This is a mid to late 19th-century farm outbuilding located southwest of the farmhouse at Kings Farm. It is arranged in an L-shape, with the main range lofted and facing east, and a single-storey range facing north. The building is constructed of rubble stone, featuring Cilgerran stone voussoirs around the openings, and has slate roofs.
The main range is double under a single roof, separated by an internal loft stair that has a full-height opening. Under the eaves, there are three tiers of wooden dove-boxes. The right side of the main range is symmetrical, with a square loft opening above a ledged stable door, which is flanked by 4-pane windows. The north end wall has a loft door. On the left side, there is an elliptical-arched cart entry to the right, flanked by shuttered windows with slate slab lintels, and a similar loft opening directly above the arch. To the left, there is a door with a shuttered window beyond it.
The single-storey range at right angles features a door, another door, a window, a window, and a window in a blocked door with stone voussoirs, along with an additional door. Timber lintels are used throughout the building.
