Description

The Jubilee Fountain is a cast-iron water pump that was erected by the Parish in 1887 to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria. It was manufactured by John Warner & Sons of Spitalfields. The pump measures about 25 cm square with chamfered corners and stands approximately 1.5 meters high. It is painted in black, red, blue, and green. At the base, there are separately cast acanthus leaves, and the cap features classical enrichment. This fountain is noted as a fine example of its type, showcasing unusually good detailing and is in a very good state of preservation.
