Description
The Church of St Thomas A Beckett is a Grade II listed building constructed from rubble stone and topped with a graded slate roof. It features a small nave and chancel, both of which have pointed barrel vaults. The church is roofless and lacks a west wall. The windows are simple camber-headed designs with wooden 2-light frames, all dating from 1930 to 1931. There is one large window on the west wall, a window in the door to the nave, one window in the north chancel, one in the east chancel, two small single lights in the south nave, and one in the south chancel.
Inside, the church has simple plastered vaults and small niches on either side of the chancel, along with a curved rood beam that supports a rood. The south nave windows contain stained glass from 1935 and 1939, dedicated to Sir Hugh Thomas of Castle Hall, while the east window of the chancel also features stained glass.
