Description

Priskilly Forest is a building dating from the mid-18th century, with an additional range added between 1820 and 1830. The structure features whitewashed roughcast on rubble stone, slate roofs, and roughcast stacks. It is two storeys high with an attic and has an L-shaped plan with a southeast front and a parallel northwest front.

The southeast front consists of a five-window main range with narrow 8-pane sash windows, which have replaced the original 18-pane sashes, although one of the original windows remains on the right end wall. The windows have slate sills, and the centre features a half-glazed door set within a simple moulded architrave topped with a dentilled cornice. The left end window has been converted into a door, and there are three gabled dormers in the roof, with a stack at the right end. The return at the left end is made of whitewashed stone and has a two-window range of similar but wider-spaced windows, along with a single dormer and a hipped southeast angle. The south end wall has a 12-pane window on the first floor and an altered window on the ground floor. There is a large lean-to structure at the rear.

The added northwest range is a regular four-window layout without a door, featuring long 15-pane sashes on the lower level and 12-pane sashes above. It has a timber eaves cornice with flat mutules, similar to the style found at Trevaccoon in Llanrhian.
