Description

Pencnwc is an early to later 19th-century farmhouse constructed of rendered rubble stone with a slate roof. It features two red brick stacks and a large stone stack at the north end. The house has a long, two-storey front, with the original section located to the right. The front facade has four hornless 12-pane sash windows on the upper floor. Later 19th-century ground-floor bays with doors were added to the left and right, along with a corresponding bay, door and a 20th-century triple casement window to the right. These bays are rendered, square in form, and have paired plate-glass sashes and hipped roofs. A lean-to addition is present at the north end.

A rear wing projects from the older part of the farmhouse. This wing is built of rubble stone and includes a first-floor west-end 12-pane sash window. There is a brick head to the window, a ground-floor window on the north side, and an outshut in the northwest angle. An outshut extends continuously to the right of this wing, incorporating a ground-floor 4-pane sash and a first-floor 12-pane window relating to the older part of the farmhouse. The south section has a long plate-glass stair light window, and a first-floor 9-pane sash window to the right, above a smaller window. Cornerstones are constructed of stone.
