Description
12 High Street is a terraced shop with living accommodation above, featuring colourwashed stucco cladding and an imitation slate roof with rendered end stacks. The building is two stories high and has a two-window front. It includes two roof lights and two 12-pane sash windows on the upper floor, while the ground floor has a plate glass shop window with paired doors to the left. The shop window is framed with a timber surround that has a cornice supported by console brackets. Each door, one leading to the shop and the other to the accommodation on the left, has two steps leading up from the pavement. Both doors are 20th century and have plain overlights. The right end wall, which overlooks the pavement as No 10 is set back, features a small attic window, a 4-pane sash window on the first floor, and a plate glass window below. The cemented roof has been replaced since 1978.
